Our story so far

Our timeline

2008

Cleveron, a technology company focused on developing software and hardware for automated click-and-collect parcel solutions, was created based on the insight that consumers and businesses need more efficient last-mile logistical solutions.

2018

In order to expand last-mile delivery even further, our first autonomous vehicle prototype Lotte was born. The robot carrier was named the Last-Mile Delivery Innovation of the Year in the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards.

2019

Cleveron launched an academy to provide professional higher education in cooperation with Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences. The Academy accepted 20 students to study robotics software development.

Fleet of Cleveron 701 in Viljandi

2020

In 2018, we promised that our driverless vehicles would be on public roads by 2020. We accomplished that. Cleveron 701, the successor to Lotte, was the first unmanned vehicle in Europe to get a license to operate on public roads across Estonia.

2021

In collaboration with DPD Netherlands, Cleveron 701 journeyed through Europe for its first-ever international pilot project. This project also marked the start of bringing autonomous delivery services to the public streets of the Netherlands. This was the first time we flawlessly operated our vehicle from 1500 km away.

2022

The team made a spin-off from Cleveron to form Clevon and introduced their third-generation robot courier CLEVON 1. We made Europe's first driverless delivery, expanded the service to four countries, opened a US office in Texas, and partnered with REWE Group, Colruyt, DPD, and DHL Express.

2023

April

Team Mobility spins off from Cleveron and a new autonomous driving tech company, Cleveron Mobility, is born. The world gets introduced to the next-generation robot carrier, the CLEVON 1.

May

Cleveron Mobility and the logistics company DPD Eesti were allegedly the first to deliver a package to a customer in Europe with a driverless autonomous robot carrier. The companies launched Europe's first unmanned delivery service in Viljandi.

June

Cleveron Mobility partners with DHL Express, the world’s leading logistics service provider to pilot Mobility’s unmanned robot carriers and test their use in last-mile delivery in Tallinn, Estonia.

July

Robot carriers start home delivery of goods from IKI stores in Lithuania, which are operated by the last-mile transportation platform LastMile. The three-way service was launched in Vilnius.

August

Cleveron Mobility adopts new brand name Clevon. The new brand name coincides with the product name of the autonomous robot carrier, which the company is developing, and thus helps to build a more unified and logical brand.

September

Clevon expands global operations to North America and opens its Center of Excellence and U.S. headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex at the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone.

October

Clevon is expanding its US team to grow business in the North-American market.

November

Clevon heads to Belgium to start cooperation with Collect&Go, Colruyt Group’s online shopping service. This marks the first time a vehicle without a physical on-board driver has taken to the road in Belgium.

December

Cleveron Mobility AS changes its business name to Clevon AS and Cleveron Academy to Clevon Academy. CLEVON 1 completes its first North American autonomous delivery in Fort Worth, Texas.
