At sTARTUp Day 2025, Clevon Academy and its partners took another bold step in advancing global robotics education. A year after announcing plans to bring Estonia’s unique company-founded robotics education model to Japan, we are strengthening that collaboration with a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The agreement, signed between Clevon Academy, the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences (EUAS), Jissen Women’s University, and Next Innovation, expands opportunities for Japanese students in robotics software development and reinforces the bridge between Estonia and Japan.
Could Education Be Estonia’s Next Big Export?
Estonia has earned its reputation as a powerhouse of digital innovation and entrepreneurship. It’s the country with the most unicorn startups per capita in Europe. But what if our next great success story isn’t just in technology—but in education itself?
Clevon Academy was built on this belief. It’s not a traditional university program—it’s a robotics-focused, industry-led education model where theory and practice go hand in hand. You learn. You apply. You innovate. And now, this unique approach is gaining international traction.
In collaboration with the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences and Clevon, Clevon Academy offers applied higher education in robotics software development in Viljandi. It’s a unique workplace-based learning program supported by the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, industry experts, and top specialists from the company.
Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. The Academy’s first cohort graduated 14 students, seven of whom have joined Clevon. This year, 17 more students are set to graduate.
